Beer-Bones started as a little company in the small one-man brewery of AMUK Brewing. 

They literally RAN to the kitchen with the grain that had been soaked in water, mixed it with peanut butter, flour, egg, and the Beer-Bone was born.

Now you and your dog can both kick back and enjoy a cold home-brew after a hard day's work. Beer-bones are unique dog bones made with REAL beer grains.  Dogs love them and it is a lot of fun to share a "beer" with your best friend after a long day.

 
The Process:

Brewing begins with a compilation of grains that are used to create a brew.  Below are a few examples of the grain that they use at AMUK Brewing.

As with any brewing process, they begin with mixing crushed/milled grain with hot water.  After all the water (wort) is drained off, large amounts of reusable grain are left, a perfect base for the dog treats!

The bones contain the following:

Spent brewing grains

Peanut Butter

Flour

Eggs

All of the treats are baked to remove moisture and contain NO preservatives. What you see is what you get, no chemicals or additives are used in these delecatble treats.

Sampling of Grains used:
American Pale Malt:  Smooth, less grainy, moderate malt flavor.  Basic malt for all beer styles.

Golden Promise:  Golden Promise is a multi use base malt, light base malt variety that can be used in place of 2 Row or Pilsner malt.  It has a clean, somewhat sweet flavor.

Briess Crystal:  Gives a sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. For pilsner beer & light amber beer.
